Cette lecture est ma première des auteures, j’ai été attiré par la couverture et le pitch.
Ici nous avons affaire à des personnages assez sombres. On est loin d’une romance simple.
Les personnages sont torturés et baignent dans la violence. Pourtant Nico arrive à rester lumineux malgré le fait qu’il doive cacher sa personnalité pour survivre. Priest est un homme déterminé, cependant possède-t’il vraiment ce qu’il lui faut ?
Le moment où Nico se révèle à lui-même est vraiment de toute beauté. Beauté qui se répercute dans les mots choisis par les auteures.
Le roman n’est pas très long mais il y avait dedans tout ce qu’il fallait. D’ailleurs je ne pense pas qu’on aurait pu encaisser plus de violence. Mais rassurez-vous il y a une romance bien que peu évidente au départ.
J’ai aimé le ton de l’histoire. Le style d’écriture est percutant et sans concession. Les auteures n’hésitent pas à aller dans des endroits sombres. Le fait que dans la noirceur naît un beau sentiment comme l’amour est très beau.
Je lirais avec plaisir la suite de la série. J’ai vraiment été convaincu par cette histoire.

This reading is my first from the authors, I was attracted by the cover and the pitch.
Here we are dealing with rather dark characters. We are far from a simple romance.
The characters are tortured and steeped in violence. Yet Nico manages to stay bright despite having to hide his personality to survive. Priest is a determined man, but does he really have what he needs?
The moment when Nico reveals himself is really beautiful. Beauty that is reflected in the words chosen by the authors.
The novel is not very long but there was everything in it. Besides, I don’t think we could have taken more violence. But rest assured there is a romance, although not very obvious at the start.
I liked the tone of the story. The writing style is punchy and uncompromising. The authors do not hesitate to go to dark places. The fact that in darkness a beautiful feeling like love is born is very beautiful.
I would happily read the rest of the series. I was really convinced by this story.
